1. Accepted Payment Methods
We currently accept the following secure payment options:
A. Credit & Debit Cards (via Secure Link)
Accepted Cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover.
Mobile Wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay.
Process: These are processed via a secure, encrypted invoice link sent to your email immediately after checkout.
B. Direct Bank Transfer (ACH / Wire)
Process: Banking details are provided via email. Orders ship once funds clear.
Note: We do not accept personal checks or cash on delivery (COD).
2. Payment Process (Order Reservation)
Unlike standard checkout flows, we utilize a Verified Reservation System to ensure inventory accuracy and fraud protection.
Order Placement: When you complete checkout, your order is recorded as a “Pending Reservation.” No funds are deducted at this exact moment.
Secure Invoice: You will receive an official email containing a Secure Payment Link (for cards) or Banking Details (for wires).
Payment Completion: You complete the payment on the secure portal.
Verification & Shipping: Once payment is verified, your order status is updated to “Processing” and the item is dispatched.
3. Secure Transactions
We prioritize your security.
SSL Encryption: All online interactions are encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
PCI Compliance: We do not store or access your full card details. All card payments handled via our invoice links are processed by trusted third-party processors compliant with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard).
Data Protection: Sensitive information (e.g., payment credentials) is transmitted directly to the payment provider.
4. Currency & Pricing
Currency: All prices on our website are displayed in U.S. Dollars (USD).
Taxes: Snowboard Hut is located in Michigan. Sales tax is calculated automatically at checkout based on your shipping address and state laws.
Final Price: Any applicable taxes or shipping costs are shown before you confirm your reservation.
5. Order Confirmation
After a successful reservation:
You will receive an Order Confirmation Email acknowledging receipt of the request.
Once payment is completed via the link, you will receive a separate Payment Receipt.
6. Payment Deadlines (Late or Failed Payments)
To ensure inventory is available for all customers, we enforce strict payment windows for reservations:
Invoice Links: If the secure link is not paid within 48 hours, the reservation may be automatically canceled.
Bank Transfers: If funds do not clear within 7 business days, the order will be canceled.
Notification: You will receive a reminder notification before cancellation occurs.
7. Refunds and Cancellations
Before Shipment: Orders can be canceled before shipment for a full refund.
After Shipment: Once dispatched, cancellations are no longer possible. Please refer to our Return Policy for returns.
Processing Time: Approved refunds are processed using the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
8. Fraud Protection
We actively monitor all transactions for fraudulent activity. If suspicious activity is detected, we reserve the right to:
Cancel the order.
Request additional information (such as billing verification) to ensure the payment was authorized by the cardholder.
